The Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation is also pleased to award scholarships to students pursuing a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

These talented students who are passionate about preparing great food and providing warm hospitality are proof that the restaurant industry has a bright future ahead. See a list of the best and brightest in the Wisconsin foodservice industry receiving scholarships this year.

Over $38,000 in scholarships will be awarded to 22 students for use during the 2015/2016 school year. WRA EF scholarships are made possible by generous contributions to the Foundation’s endowment fund. Additional funding is provided by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

An individual, company or organization can establish a permanent scholarship in their name or that of a special person through the WRA Education Foundation Endowment Fund program.

The WRA EF awards scholarships based upon future plans in the restaurant and hospitality industry, academic records, essays and recommendations from employers and instructors.

The ProStart® program, administered by National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC and state restaurant associations, is a college-prep, two-year curriculum designed to teach high school students the skills needed for a career in the restaurant and foodservice industry. Students also have the opportunity to participate in paid internships where industry managers mentor them.
