Rose Hunt Honored with Chapter Hero Award
Rose Hunt, from Heckel’s Family Restaurants in Chippewa Falls and Moe’s Diner in Osseo, was honored with the Chapter Hero Award from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. The award recognizes Hunt’s commitment to her West Wisconsin Chapter and acknowledges the important role that the WRA regional chapters play in the success of the Association.
Hunt has shown dedication to the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, her chapter and the foodservice industry. Her work has been key to the revitalization of the West Wisconsin Chapter, which in turn has increased involvement of restaurateurs in the area who previously were not active with WRA. A hands-on leader, she has held many different positions on the West Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors. Hunt’s involvement with the Chapter led to her serving on a statewide level as well: as a PAC (Political Action Committee) Trustee on the WRA board, traveling to Washington D.C. for the National Restaurant Association Public Affairs Conference and participating in Restaurant Lobby Day at the state capitol. Hunt is also very active in her community and is a Wisconsin Wing Vice-Commander in the Civil Air Patrol.
Hunt was presented the award at the 2014 WRA Awards Dinner gala, held on March 11th at Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee.
