September is National Food Safety Month This year’s National Food Safety Month theme is "Let It Flow," focusing on the flow of food through restaurants.
Restaurant owners and managers can download weekly activities and go through the activities with their staff.
Check out and share the infographics and videos and don’t forget to join the conversation on social media using #FoodSafetyMonth #LetItFlow2015.
National Food Safety Month was created by the National Restaurant Association in 1994 to heighten awareness about the importance of food safety education. Each year a new theme and free training activities and posters are created for the restaurant and foodservice industry to help reinforce proper food safety practices and procedures.
Visit the NFSM website to view the weekly activities (different focus each week: receiving, storage, thawing and holding, preparation and service), posters, videos and archives, which are all available for download.
